New Zealand removes covid restrictions ! No vaccine, testing required to travel

The New Zealand government has now confirmed to lift up all the restrictions that were imposed due to coronavirus. This news comes after more than two and a half years when New Zealand government enforced lockdown post pandemic.

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern while addressing at Parliament in Wellington, confirmed “It’s time to safely turn the page on our COVID-19 management, and live without the extraordinary measures we have previously used”.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern stated, “The changes we’ve made today are significant. They mark a milestone in our response,”  She further added, “This is a time when finally rather than feeling COVID dictates what happens to us, our lives and our futures, it’s our time now to take the control back.”

People are not required to wear masks in any of the public places while travelling or shopping. Also for tourists no vaccine or testing is mandatory to travel New Zealand.

According to government, more than 90% of the population is now vaccinated with at least two dosage of the covid vaccine. Hence the citizens can now move forward and lead a normal life.

New Zealand was amongst few of the nations in the world to enforce strict measures to tackle coronavirus pandemic. Eventually the country encountered more cases as the new variant of the virus were discovered.

As of 13th September, masks in country would only be mandatory in health institutes such has hospitals, nursing homes and pharmacies.

The travellers can now plan for the New Zealand trip as the country has now opened up its border for tourists, students and work visa applicants.

    Great news! This pandemic made our life very slow I believe. But whatever the situation is we should keep our believe positive.
